Annual Report

I was commissioned by Bossanova to design the IRFU Annual Report, with a brief to reflect the full breadth of rugby in Ireland, from grassroots clubs to the international game. The cover moves away from the familiar focus on the national team and stadium imagery, instead representing all levels of the game.

The design system takes its cue from the rugby pitch itself. The field markings informed a precise, modular grid that structures the report’s interior pages. Within this framework, the layouts and typography draw on the positioning, lines and formations of the game, translating rugby’s inherent sense of order, movement and strategy into a clear and consistent visual language.
